Director of Child Psychiatry opening in Northern WV – academic appt

Seeking Board Certified Child Psychiatrist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) to practice in the area of child and adolescent psychiatry and oversee as Director, the child psychiatry mental health clinical service line, including ambulatory and inpatient services, as well as consultation and liaison services.
- Duties include providing patient care and actively engaging in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Leadership role involves coordinating multidisciplinary providers and collaborating with departmental and university leadership.
- Directly reporting to the Vice Chair of Clinical Services and the Chairman of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry.
- Additional responsibilities include strategic planning, collaboration with other departments, clinical supervision, community engagement, advocacy, research oversight, and staff development.
- Emphasis on meeting the clinical training needs of multidisciplinary trainees in pediatric mental health.
